That looks pretty darn nice.  Please let me know what you think of it after you try it out.  Where did you buy it?

I thought they were such interesting bivy's that I included this discussion on winter bivy's from Backpackinglight.com in my reference list at the bottom of the page of my bivy condensation piece.

I have had some discussions with David (Miles) about the fabrics he is using.  I am interested in seeing how they work in the long run.
temperatures exceed 100 degrees F
minimum 1 gallon water per person/day
no shade, no water

You know, I was a bit nebulus on what "bivy" meant.  I take it a "bivy" is a small one-man tent.

I thought we had been "bivying" when we camp like this, our main mode of camping, unless it's too cold:

One learns something new everyday!
That is a nice bivy though!

Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?

Got it on that website; this guy makes them at his house; I like the idea of a bivy, but I want a little more room than the traditional bivy, and I like to read my Kindle after a long day of hiking, etc.  So, this one looks poretty ideal; also, it's a pound or a pound and a half or so.  I'm using it in east Texas this weekend and will report.
