awesome pictures  8)

now mine seems so much less interesting  :oops: Alpine is under there somewhere. it was very cool though, it looked like the clouds went on forever, and that was the last glimpse of the sun we had all the way back to austin, and then for the next few days through all the ice storms. makes you want to stay in West Texas

Well I don't think so, at least you were really there, I'm stealing webcam shots wishing I was there. It's neat that your shot is looking back almost in the opposite direction of the webcam. Seeing the same two mountains from the opposite side and it appears from a bit off to the east.

the webcam pictures look like they are from near the observatory... very cool
