Ditto what Muse said!

Probably the most memorable hike I've done as a result of reading about it here was an overnight trip out to the Split Rock campsite on the Marufo Vega trail.

Next up...an overnight trip to Black Rock Canyon. Again, because of things I've read here. Ain't this board great! Kuddos to CG and Richard and all of the members who make this a great source of shared knowledge and camaraderie.
  Happy Holidays!

I've said it several times before and it bears repeating.

This is the best site for any National Park.

Detailed info and guidance can be found, along with members ready to quickly reply with help.  No looking down on newbies, either.

My son and I had a memorable adventure back in August hiking the Dodson Trail from Homer Wilson to the Smokey Creek junction for an overnighter at 3 Dog campsite, thanks to the helpful folks on these boards.  :13:

I hiked the OML for the first time based on info I found here. TWWG gave some great advice and helped out a lot.  This site wouldn't be what it is without the wisdom of every member of this board!  And without the "tude."

Wow... Now that I think about it, I think that every trip but the first one was based on something someone posted here. My first trip was one of those "I wonder what's over there trips" that led to searching the net for info on BiBe once I got my first taste of the park. The first and last place that I came when I was researching was here.

My future trips will be based on what I read here.

My significant other and I will be zone camping during our next trip to Mule Ears because of suggestions here. I know our trips have been much more enjoyable since I started lurking here. I was disappointed when I looked for a similar site for Acadia and a couple of the eastern parks.
