Interesting Image on Satellite Map
« on: June 17, 2011, 02:47:12 PM »
I was looking at a map site and found some interesting features.  They seem to have a uniform pattern, it's really weird.

Can someone ID these?

Here is a link:

One may need to zoom out to see the extent of this formation. There is a similar feature directly East, on the other side of the 385.

Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?

I'm pretty sure it's re-vegetation plantings.  Trying to reestablish grasses in that area.

Ah, cool!  Thanks TexasAggieHiker!  This saves me the short walk out there the next time I am in the park!

This has been investigated before. Another thread on this subject can be found here:
