Kickapoo State Park

Hello....my husband and I are new to the Del Rio area and just took our daughter to Kickapoo this past weekend.....I have tried to research mountain lion sightings at this park.  I found what looked like ML prints in the mud.  They weren't dog or coyote marks as the pads were a lot bigger.  I have read that they are moving closer into central TX.  Does anyone have any info they can share?  Thanks!

Much has to do with the tough winter of 2011 and afterwards the dry spell of later months. It wiped out almost all of the flora in  the whole area, with it the animals that feed on such vegetations were in dire need to look for fod elsewere. The brush fires eliminated any possiblility of a prompt return of the standing environment. It is more than obvious that along with the animals who feed on this environment also were (are) followed by the animals who prey on them for survival. It is all a matter of moving to the place of food source.
Stay thirsty, my friends.

It's tough for those who truly live off the land.

Google: "Famine sparks suicide rumors among Mexico's Tarahumara"

Firefox otherwise says a plug-in that doesn't download is required when  I tried to cut and paste the link.
