Diesel is biodegradable by the facultative anaerobic bacteria and micro-organisms in the soil.  Should slow regrowth and then will go away.

That's good to know. I've always been leery of using diesel on stumps that may have shared root systems. I guess it's just sciddishness out of ignorance on my part.
