A perfect example of "climate change".
Heck, it seems like it's always changing.

Don't get too excited. The total annual average rainfall for the Basin is 15.24 inches with only 11.59" so far this year. Remember that 2011 was very dry with only 4.31 inches for the whole year. Don't stop dancing.
I have a really good story, wanna hear?

It was green when I was there. The hike up Pinnacles to the rim was covered in wild flowers. But... just eyeball estimating... about 50% or more of the trees were dead.

Things are relatively lush so far. Rained gently for about an hour from 4-5pm yesterday in the Basin. Got down to 60 degrees. Sure felt nice. Made it out to Apache Canyon today and there was still mud in some low spots.  :icon_cool:

I would be interested in knowing what the flow is like at Cattail.

Me too!  :icon_lol:  From Burro Mesa, we could see the glistening of a couple streams of water flowing down the sides of Carter down into Cattail Canyon. Sure was purty in the morning sun!
