So! Over the past year I've gotten heavily into rock climbing.  I've read a little bit about climbing in the park and it seems that there is a good bit of trad climbing and apparently some sport routes!  Does anyone know, other than Grapevine Hills, where there might be some good bolted routes in the park?  Or maybe where I could get in some good bouldering during my trip out there in two weeks? =)

bouldering possibilities in Bruja Canyon. Many of these rocks as big as full size pickups going up from the canyon floor into the split on the cliff wall.

according to an early thread on this site there are supposed to be bolts imbedded into the rock on the right side of the split (somewhere on the rock wall above these boulders)

I've seen bolts/hangers on the south wall of Dog Canyon. I doubt any of them are there, or anywhere else, with the blessing of the NPS. If you ask officially they will completely discourage you from climbing due to 'bad rock' throughout the park.

I'm taking my gear out there with me when I go in a couple weeks.  If I can find some bolted routes, I'll definitely be doing some sport climbing.  That cliff looks absolutely climbable.
