Time for new Boots
« on: July 18, 2011, 06:52:28 PM »
my current boots have served me well, but the soles have some holes in them and just need to be replaced.
Vasque Breeze Gore-Tex XCR Hiking Boots, are what I have now, they fit well and are comfy, but they are NOT waterproof, despite the claims of Vasque,  and my feet get over heated pretty quick in these, not bad for winter, but for warmer temps they heat up fast.

any suggestions??

I just purchased a pair of Lowa Renegade GTX Mid Boot boots last march.  Absolutely fantastic boot!  'Musey over at Good Sports in SA set me up with them and I have no complaints.  Marched to Tortuga and back with them, plus used them on our last excursion.  Walked through water up to my ankles, no leakage (remember that?), plenty of bounce in my step, rugged construction, lots of toe room for swelling, and comfy!  Highly recommend!
