In April we plan on hiking Telephone Canyon to Strawhouse and on down from there...  If we don't do Telelphone/Strawhouse, we will do Mariscal Rim to Cross Canyon to the river then on to Solis

April will be probably too hot for those trails, be careful.   :icon_redface:

We did Strawhouse/Telephone Canyon in Dec. and it was warm.  http://www.bigbendchat.com/portal/forum/your-trip-reports/strawhouse-to-the-basin/
temperatures exceed 100 degrees F
minimum 1 gallon water per person/day
no shade, no water

Mule Ears makes a good point about those trails.  There is a pretty small window of opportunity to hike those trails due to the possible extreme heat.  April can be extremely hot in BIBE.  I thought I read somewhere that Apr/May/June is hotter there than Jul/Aug/Sep on average.
