It snowed steadily here in Dallas for a few hours, but it's already all gone. The temperature has been above freezing all day.

Sleet and snow in Birmingham.  Some accumulations and icy roads today.  The town is shut down.

Only 2" here, but alas, no school today :icon_biggrin:, I watched my neighbors across the road last evening, it's a bit of an incline to make it off our road, they made three attempts and then pulled back into their drive.  I haven't left the warmth of my down comforter yet except to get a cup of tea. :icon_rolleyes:

Hmm, we are going to be in the park for a week starting the 24th...I wonder what our chances of snow in the Basin are?
Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?

I would think the chances are very slim.

Took the kids camping along the Selway River in central ID and we picked up about 10 inches overnight. Ended up with 6 inches at the house. We've had at least some snow on the ground since the second week of November, but I guess you're mostly asking about those in TX.

Great photos, Danny. I enjoy living vicariously through others' cold weather adventures.

Especially love the bleakness and serenity of this one:

Glad y'all are enjoying your new Idaho playground.

We just cleared 100 inches of snow for the season.  Here's a couple pictures to get a sense for why we're waiting for Lake Erie to freeze and discontiue the lake effect storms:

It's been great for skiing, but as you may have guessed we're very much looking forward to our spring break visit to Big Bend.

Excellent pics, Danny.  I've got some relatives that live north of Boise, so that gives me an excuse to visit that part of the country soon!
