Here is an updated MDA map with tinaja info. 85MB -1:12000

Outstanding work, as usual, BK.  It's a pleasure to surf virtually through the MDA.  Thanks for doing this.

I notice you didn't include a trail from Tinaja Lujan southwest past Canyon Flag to the main trail through the center of the mesa. I haven't yet been on that one, but I assumed it was a still there. Is it not?

I was also puzzled by the absence of a trail descending past La Mariposa, the bottom of base of Tinaja Rana, and Winterrowd Spring to Metates Camp. During my December 2017 float of the river, I walked from Metates to the base of Rana and a trail was definitely there: a fairly obvious trailbed with many cairns.

I try to only include verified gps tracks in my maps if possible. If someone has those tracks, it is and easy addition/update. Contributors are always welcome.

I have also updated a 1;65000 Full park that is an improvement on the previous version. If anybody is interested I can put up a link. It is the "wall hanger" 48" x 48" at 400 dpi

Ah, excellent point. I didn’t log it because I was only carrying my Holux for emergencies. IIRC, Homer Wilson and his canyoneering party walked the same trails about the same time I was there, but I think they forewent a GPS track, too. Something for next time....

I'm of course late to the party, but I can't seem to access the links in the first post. I was able to download the  MDA file recently posted.
When I click on any of the links in the first post of this thread I get only the Google 404 error.  :icon_frown:

OK. The update is ready.
OPTION 1 - Best Quality (at a price)

Print size at 460 dpi is 48"x36". Could be printed as large as 72"x56" at 300 dpi
File size is 407 MB.

Here is the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/18e4uAhy69_RUjFIqakBO9dLIO_0xnXV3/view?usp=sharing

PS if you are using Window 10, the photos App struggles with files this size. Better to use the old Window Photo Viewer or something more capable like Photoshop

OPTION 2 Good quality
I also have a 48"x48" 300dpi file that might been friendlier to the Windows Photo App. File is 200MB (That app still sucks though)

OPTION 3 Not Bad quality
And for those in ancient computer land, here is a jpg that should open albeit with a minor loss of quality. This file is 36"x48" at 460 dpi and weighs is at 151 MB. It will will open in the crappy photo app
