Title: Downloadable Top Maps
Post by: Dennis1993 on April 29, 2012, 01:29:02 PM
I was just wondering if there are any downloadable Topo maps of the Chisos that can be overlaid onto Google Earth?

They have a few: Outer Mountain Loop, Mariscal Rim, and Marufo Vega trails that I know of for sure...

I have mail-ordered quads from the USGS online. They came fairly quickly at regular rates.

If you order from usgs, make sure you don't order the most recent (2011 or 2012) maps.  I find these much less usable in the field than the older versions.  And I had no idea they sold so many quads at the park.  Good to know...
