Found an update for Garmin Mapsource today.  It has been on their website since early March , so most folks have probably seen this by now.  But if not, enjoy...

Thanks.  I'll have to download that promptly.  I'd hate to get lost and have a SAR because I failed to download the updates.   :P   Thanks BBH....

Garmin, unless they already have it, need to have an "update" page which will automagically notify you when there are updates for your particular unit.

Thank you.  I didn't see it earlier when I looked, but here it is.

WL2....is that the page where you can enter your email address to receive notifications on software updates? I have tried that page (entered my email address and then you are supposed to receive an email to respond to for confirmation).  However, that has not worked, as I never receiving the confirming email.  I must be doing something wrong. :(

I've never gotten any updates either and I know of other people who have not gotten the emails.

This latest update has some significant new features.  Be sure to read the notes on the update page.  Several of the things I have been wishing they had for a while:

smaller icon for mountains
multiple links on waypoints, routes, tracks
you can now join tracks
multi-line comments for waypoints.

Thanks, Randell!  Maybe it is something with their website.  I may try calling customer support this week to see what is going on.  It would be nice to receive the emails instead of having to check the website periodically for the updates.
