Looks cool, but I think the price is wrong. Everybody else wants $49.95

Maybe it's a subset of the full National Parks Explorer 3D with only Big Bend?

Yes, it's a standalone for the park. National Geographic offers a handful of parks that way -- the complete set of national parks they offer is in the $44-$49 range depending on where you look for it.

I understand your skepticism, but it's like Bob Barker said!

It's just like the fold up map of BIBE, but with a few added features. I think it's a great price, considering the fold up is $9.95

well, just received my own copy today (thanks, Muse ;) ) and it's very cool, indeed.  Has all the features of the old version but a cool 3-D feature:  Haven't plugged my GPS unit into it yet, but it is promising!

I will call and order one tomorrow!  (I don't know how I missed this thread and only found it today).   Good thing I sit at a desk and don't fly a plane or something like that :?

Casa Grande, maybe you can confirm something. I have a much older version of this software. The problem that I had with it was that the highest level of zoom was reserved for the high Chisos only at 1:24K scale. Outside of the Chisos the scale was 1:250K.

It was especially hard to use the tool to trace out a route in order to create waypoints for the GPS and the maps were fairly worthless for navigation as well.

I'd like to know if they included the 7.5 topos for the entire park.
