Hey BiBe Friends, Thinking about hiking Ore Terminal Trail this month (Jan). Does anybody know if there are still any of the old towers still standing on the trail? If so, how far up the trail might they be? Thanks for any info or photos. KK

There is one that I know of which is about half way up the trail to the terminal.  You can read my description of the trail and a picture of the tower here.
temperatures exceed 100 degrees F
minimum 1 gallon water per person/day
no shade, no water

I know awhile back, someone posted about the towers and some cables but I can find it now. It was a pretty long trip report and included some of the mines on the mexico side

Thanks, Mule Ears! That trip report and the photos are excellent. Amazing ingenuity from people of old in an inhospitable place. So glad there are remnants still to see and learn about. K

Thanks, Txlj. I would love to see the photos of the mines in that trip report. I'll search for it.
