That's right...good point.
What I haven't mentioned is:there were 3 of these areas...about 20 feet apart.
And no tracks in between...which lends some credibility to the hawk theory.
In one area, there were 2 linear tracks...parallel.. .
(which made me think of a sidewinder's track).

hmmm....
some of the tracks seem to be associated with small rocks, so maybe we've got something like this:

miniature version.

My vote is that is from a Snake that has caught something large. The marks are from it moving around over a time working it down swallowing it. Some of the marks from the prey still moving before death. Such as a jackrabbit or similar. Very interesting to say the least.
Hmmm, I'll have to guess it was one of those flying snakes eating a chupacabra then.

Hmmm, actually you might have something there. Could be a flying snake if in the talons of a hawk that had swooped one up.  The Hawk with Snake could have lighted there to get a better hold on the snake or to kill the snake before moving on. More than once I have seen a red tailed Hawk carrying a Snake. Lots of Hawk vs Snake pictures on google images and videos on youtube, but I could not find one in the sand to compare to.

Snakes mating?
I think you're right (or males fighting to mate). This looks like it would leave the same kind of marks on that kind of surface:

The problem with the snake theory is...they shouldn't be out.
It's winter and it was 26 degrees that morning.
Certainly the wrong time of year for mating...

My question is where is Muskhog spring? Thanks
If you climb mountains, no explanation is necessary, if you don't , no explanation is possible.

Muskhog Spring is west of the Old Ore Road about a mile south of where it turns off Dagger Flat Road.  It's marked on Trails Illustrated map.  Easiest way to get to it is walking down Javelina Creek drainage from the OOR.

Seems like a lot of markings, especially if there are 3 places looking like this, for a bird and a snake. The bird must have had a h*** of a time swallowing it!
