Loop--how long?
« on: January 10, 2012, 10:44:47 AM »
Howdy.  Considering this loop--how many miles is it?

Cache water at Homer Wilson, then:

Start at Twisted Shoe; Dodson Trail to Homer Wilson; get water; then up Blue Creek, around Rim and down Juniper to car

Thanks.

28 is about right...we started our hike at the Dodson trailhead, went up Blue creek, South Rim and Se Rim, then back out through Boot Canyon and Juniper Canyon. Our mileage came in at 28.1 miles, according to my gps.

Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?
