GPS Coordinates for different points in the park
« on: July 18, 2007, 11:13:13 AM »
Hey everyone,
I am heading to the park in a week or so for some much needed R&R. Does anyone have GPS coordinates (or know where they are posted) for various parts of the park. I am wanting to do a bunch of day hikes to the South Rim etc but it makes me feel better if I have my final destination programmed into my GPS before I head out.

Thanks in advance,
Brad

You can always start with this topic, which has several links such as

go to topozone.com. follow the instructions and you can get every lat. and lon. you could ever need for the bend.  if you have any questions Pm me and I will be happy to help.
If you climb mountains, no explanation is necessary, if you don't , no explanation is possible.

Well, you can do that, but then the GPS is becoming a crutch. It's more like planning a road trip than going hiking and experiencing a sense of exploration.

Here's a list I have on my website for BB waypoints.  I found these on the web several years ago.
