How was the heat?  Was water a problem?  I guess a filter wold have been all right for the water at the spring.
Ah Big Bend, we will soon return to reacquaint ourselves in our ritual of blood, exhaustion and dehydration. How can we resist the temptation to strip ourselves of the maladies of civilization?

That was the first time I have been there, but I went up and down the spring area and only found that one spot that had water..  Nothing flowing.

Did you find the galvanized pipe at the spring below the picnic table, or did you just walk the drainage upstream from the cabin.

I didn't find the pipe.  Where is it from the spot where the trail goes accross the drainage?  I walked from the cabin to the next trail head..  Walked the drainage..  I found a place that had a pipe (no water) and some type of drainage pipe with a cover and a lock.

I never did see a picnic table.

The spring is about 50 ft south of the cabin, but down in the canyon. You have to climb down a short steep incline to get to the spring. The picnic table was on the SE corner of the cabin, but it might be gone? It has been there for many years. (great spot to eat lunch)
