It can get pretty cold up there and the wind is always a factor as well.  The coldest night I had up there, it was 13 F at 2am.  Lucky for us it wasn't very windy that night or the next.
WATER, It does a body good.

Define next week....

Sunday/Monday... lows in the teens
Through the week... lows in 20's
Next weekend back down into the teens

You should have nice weather

Week after Christmas 1983 one of the worst cold fronts in history came through our low hit about -5.  That is unlikely next week however.
Funny... I have a story about that...

You forgot to mention that the winds were gusting, at least in Big Bend, up to 40 mph that week.  It was really miserable and cold.

Wealth of Information...

Good afternoon Burn Ban from Deep East Texas.  You will find a wealth of information on the newly designed NPS BIBE web portal @ http://www.nps.gov/bibe  The Bibe Webmaster did a bang-up job of consolidating all of the information, putting the information in a consistant format, and improving the overall general appearance of it.    There is a fantastic index that is searchable - for just BIBE :!:   Be sure and check out the "Did You Know" facts at the bottom of each page.

Of course, this being TEXAS, if you don't like the current weather, just wait five minutes and it will change.

There are also automated weather stations at the Basin and at PJ that provide a wealth of current and historical information.

There is also a Daily Report that give daily information and weather information for the next few days.

Plus, if you are on the road heading that way and want to know what the weather is like, then call the automated weather line @ 432-477-1183  :P
