Water in boot springs or tinajas?
« on: November 06, 2011, 11:04:47 PM »
Hello peeps.  I'm heading out to South Rim for a three day two night hike with some friends this week.  Don't want to bring 2 or 3 gallons on our backs (for 1 gal/person/day rule).  I've done the hike 4 or 5 times and have always been able to find water along trail (tinajas) and either filter, boil or treat it w tablets.  But because it's been so dry does anyone know if there are tinajas(puddles in rocks) or water anywhere on the hike?  I can't possibly think of doing this hike in one day..... I Love to stretch it out and enjoy the scenery and camp.

Thanks in advance,
