Connecting Pine Canyon and Lost Mine Trail
« on: April 30, 2012, 03:48:31 PM »
I know that folks are making the connection between the Lost Mine Trail and Pine Canyon, but I don't know how.

I anticipate using map skills, and I can do that.

But what are the challenges and what advice is out there?  Specifically, what is the best way to manage getting up the pour off at the top end of Pine Canyon?

Many thanks.
I am a minister of the Gospel, the father of two great sons (who I have not yet coaxed into backpacking) and the husband of the single most patient woman in the world.

Picacho says:

"You bushwhack up the south side of the canyon to avoid the pouroff.  It’s a tough steep bushwhack but doable."
