Steel good.  Steel and various metal alloys that when combined provides transport to Big Bend . . . very good!

Steelfrog that is very cool.  :icon_cool:

The only way that could be cooler is if your Bro had a camera too, and had a pic of you on Gilbert's.

My Bro is sending me a flash drive with his pics.  HOWEVER, keep in mind that I was due east of Carter, and 200 feet higher; anf the sun was coming directly over where I was, from his perspective.  Also, another lesson we both learned (we learn them ALL THE TIME) is if you are doing long distance photog, be sure and wear something bright colored.  My bro had khaki pants and black shirt; I had khaki pants and tan jacket; so, spotting me not so easy!

Also, I tried using 2 trek poles for the first time, and let me tell you, I am sold!  In April, we are going to do the Grand Canyon R3, and I will be using 2 poles this time!

+1 on trekknig poles.  Short of scrambling that requires hands and feet, I'm also sold on trekking poles.  I cannot count the times that those poles saved me from falling and twisting an ankle/knee.

Cool that you got to see a panther, even if it didn't stop to pose for a picture.
