The American Spaceman is too PC to tell us black, white, Asian, or Mexican.   How about boy or girl, young or old?  How about asking the people who saw the two?

As nice as Sunday was, and at that time, at least a few people saw the punks doing it.  I'm sure there was a cell phone in the area.
First Russian Collusion, then Obstruction, then illegal payment to Stormy Daniels, then tax returns subpoenaed. Now no formal vote on impeachment for a 30 min. phone call to Ukraine

No crime. No evidence, just more secret investigations

Drain the Swamp.  America will survive.  God Bless America

Be on the lookout for ____________.

I hope they get them and force them to scrub down the rocks.

I may have to lock this topic, as my blood pressure spikes every time I see the subject line in my Unread Topics list.  :pissed:

Maybe we BBCers can volunteer to oversee their restitution at Enchanted Rock.

Arrested.

I would happily volunteer for jury duty that week.  But Graffiti is the most the can charge them with.  So, this is on par with putting your initials on the back of the portables at school?

I think that the surly and unsympathetic BBC subgroup should be allowed to take these folks for a walk in the park.

Article mentions 3 drug-related charges as well.

Agreed.  It just seems like defacing a park should merit a stiffer punishment than just say graffiti on the trail head trashcan.  The article below is about defacing a national park, which seems to have a pretty stiff penalty.  Maybe our State Leg has not given State parks the same protections.  If this went to a jury trial in Travis county, this couple would be in trouble.  I don't know about Hays County.

http://www.takepart.com/article/2014/10/22/one-person-decided-make-art-national-parks-and-post-it-all-over-social-media

From the article:
Defacing national park property is a federal misdemeanor that can lead to six months in prison. “Vandalism is not only a violation of the law, but it also damages and sometimes destroys often irreplaceable treasures that belong to all Americans,” Olson said. “It is not only criminal; it is thoughtless.”

They were charged with a State Jail Felony - it's above misdemeanors (your initials on the back of the portables or the trashcan at the trailhead like someone mentioned) but it's the lowest of the felonies.

They can receive from 180 days to 2 years in jail and a max $10,000 fine.

Glad they were caught, and hopefully the drug charges will tack on the appropriate time to their sentences.

On a somewhat related note, my son completed his final solo cross-country flight yesterday.  It was from Boerne-Llano-Fredericksburg-Boerne.  His path took him right over Enchanted Rock, and he shot this quick video with his cell phone:

You don't travel to see different things,
You travel to see things differently.
