I'm new here, to the forum, but have been hiking the Trans-Pecos for over forty years. I loved your reminisces about the old GUMO. I started hiking in GUMO in the early-mid 80's. I also recall looking at the old USGS topos and trying to figure out the way to the summit. (The days before "Trails Illustrated", huh?)
