Good writeup on a rescue in BBNP. Lots better ending than the one last year. PLB's are a wonderful fallback tool for a solo hiker, especially in remote areas that are infrequently visited. However, there are stories of them being abused . Happy ending to this tale, however. Hope everyone has a great and safe 2007!
