I was thinking of making a trip to GUMO this November. I will be arriving probably on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Is this usually a good time for a visit or a not so good time of the year. I was wondering about possible normal / average temps., percip., winds etc All thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

I think the winds are always an issue there, expecially at Pine Springs and Guadalupe Peak.

I went backpacking in the bowl several years ago for Thanksgiving.  The weather was great.  It did freeze one night but the winds weren't bad at all up in the bowl on the Tejas Trail.  McKittrick Canyon will likely be very beautiful for Thanksgiving.

November should be an excellent time, I highly recommend it.   You will be arriving just after the fall color change so if you want to see that check in a couple of weeks earlier, although the exact time changes every year depending on the temps and the precip.  Monitor the park website in November for the best fall foliage.
