Ya know, I like winter, I like snow, I used to like snow skiing, I don't mind camping in the snow or the cold, but there are limits...

Ok RichardM, what move is "It Sings" from?

Here are some nice "sings"... or "jingles..."

http://www.barrypopik.com/index.php/new_york_city/entry/the_sun_has_riz_the_sun_has_set_and_here_we_is_in_texas_yet/#When:06:52:01Z

Quote
The sun has riz, the sun has set, and here we is in Texas yet” shows how large Texas is. These lines are said to have been written by a hobo in the early 1900s.

Quote
“The sun is risen, the sun is set, and we ain’t out of Texas yet.”

Quote
BIG AS ALBERTA
The sun has riz,
The sun has set,
And here we is
In Texas yet.

I'm sorry, you must have me confused with someone who actually has a clue what you're talking about.

My Dad used to recite the "Sun has riz..." line all the time when we were on road trips, so at least that rings a bell.  What it has to do with snow in New York escapes me.  Or should I just go ahead and move this topic to the "Other Stuff" forum?

Ok, think John Wayne.  Think "Provo's Privy"...

Quote
Quotes:
Sergeant Muldoon: Are you sure that's what he wanted?
Colonel Mike Kirby: Affimative!
Sergeant Muldoon: Maybe he liked so many guys thinking about him.
Colonel Mike Kirby: Besides that... It SINGS!
[exits]
Sergeant Muldoon: [to himself] It sings? That's what he said. Provo's Privy, It DOES sing!

Yeah, I got that.  From "Green Berets".  But just what does it have to do with snow in New York?  Or was one of those bazillion pictures of an outhouse?

It just has to do with the jingles that I added about Texas - they sing...

We're on the wrong wavelength here - off topic to way off topic.
