About Tony Feher

Currently based in New York City, Tony Feher creates ironic, tenuous sculptures from found or disposable materials such as bottles, jars, crates, and plastic containers, and has received critical acclaim for the depth and emotionality of his minimalist works. He recently created a series of three installations for the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas, which appeared in conjunction with an exhibition of his recent work in 2006.

Feher has also had solo exhibitions of his work at the Center for Curatorial Studies Museum, Bard College; UCLA’s Hammer Museum; the Berkeley Art Museum; New York’s Storefront for Art and Architecture and D’Amelio Terras New York, where he shows regularly. His work has been featured in group exhibitions including State of Play at the Serpentine Gallery, London, and the 8th International Istanbul Biennial. Feher was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas.
