The NY Times had an article this weekend detailing a fight between Erie, the male peregrine who (with his mate Dorothy) have bred in a nest on the University of Pittsburgh campus, and a male interloper. The bloody battle lasted 15 minutes and ended with the two males tumbling out of the nest. Dorothy flew out a minute later.

Western Pennsylvania Conservency's peregrine recovery program page. These types of fights are apparently common this time of year, but hardly any of them are ever seen by human observers.
