It's not snowing in CC, but the temp is 40 and sinking, light rain, wind gusting to 40mph. No outside pics today; decided to go "surrealistic".

A White Easter. Go Figure!! If you have any good pictures of snow in your neighborhood, send us an email with your attached photo as a JPG to weather@ktre.com. For a look at some pictures from earlier today, check out the Weather Blog. This snow event will go down in the record books as the latest snowfall to fall across East Texas for as long as the records have been kept. This is the first time that snow has fallen in East and Southeast Texas in April. It is hard to believe that we not only saw widespread snow accumulations, but rather, it occurred in the late spring months when our normal daytime high for today is 75 degrees. It is amazing how weather can change so quickly in just a matter of hours. Look for a few more light snow-showers to continue in the overnight hours before all the precipitation comes to an end by mid-day on Easter Sunday. Meteorologist Brad Hlozek

Some friends of mine went canoeing this weekend, either the Angelina or the Neches rivers, not sure which, looks like the Nasty Neches to me. Big difference on getting in and getting out...

The video of the snow was nice. It has been quite a year for weather. Hope this is not an indication of what our hurricane season will be like this year!

I know I have been complaining about the cold on Easter...but come July and August...I will be crying for cold weather! BBH
