I heard on the radio this morning that we are right in the middle of National Turn off the TV Week.  It is supposed to fight kids watching too much TV.  They say kids today would rather watch TV than get outside and play.  Though my kids are a little young yet compared to the ones they were talking about, but they are off to a good start.  They would never pass up a chance to get out and play.  I had to give them two baths a day last weekend...lots of mud after recent rains...and there is no stopping them from getting in the mud:

And getting a healthy dose of dirt. The most antiseptic of parents doom their kids to a life of allergy and illness because they won't let them get dirty.
