BIBE PJ - $3.51
Stillwell - $2.99
Study Butte Mall - $3.24

Just call me Trilby Lumberg...

Dateline May 22nd.  Only had time to call PJ and get the latest price quote.  It's going to hurt to go to BIBE - really hurt.  An .18 increase in 8 days.  $3.69 is today's gas quote....     It's  really got to crimp the style of the folks living out there full time....

When the prices get to high I will be stuck with them as my profession does not allow for public transportaion, I will just have to pass along the cost or not take long trips to the Bend (NOT).

I agree, their coffee tastes kinda burnt.

It's more than kinda burnt. It's real burnt. I do not understand how they are successful, except they have cultivated a group of people into believing it is good coffee. Of course, when you slather it up with all the junk you have put in it to hide the burned taste then you can whack the consumer with charges for all the 'extras' that make up the froo-froo menu they've invented with all the trendy sounding names.

One of the very few times I actually went into a Starbucks to get a 'black coffee' (try ordering it that way sometime...it's a show stopper when you don't use their trendy names) some gal ahead of me ordered 3 or 4 coffees and an equal amount of pastry doodahs and paid $30. Unbelievable.

I'm not about to pay $2.00++++++ for a cup of black Joe.  Not the way I drink it.  I've had it a couple of times at airports, Barnes & Noble, etc.  First time I ever had it, I thought there was something wrong with it.  Give me a good cup of Kona or Blue Mountain anytime, normally it's just good ole Folgers.

Actually, I just get indigestion when my wife goes into Starbuck$, as I don't drink coffee.  My daughter, however, absolutely loves the little cups of whipped cream they give her.

Try Kona Peaberry if you can get it. I think it is the best there is.

"One of the most sought after coffee beans, the peaberry, which only has a single coffee bean inside (compared to the usual two), generally makes up to 10 percent of the total Kona coffee harvest."

Absolutely, the best. It spoils you for anything else. Starbucks is trash compared to Peaberry.
