Does it save any time to take the Dark Canyon Road south of the Carlsbad airport to get to Sitting Bull Falls and Dog Canyon?  Is that road suitable for passager cars?  Many thanks.

It is a great route.

Here is a little Sitting Bull story I posted last year.  If you need any Guadalupe info let me know.

Yes, it will save you considerable time, is a great drive and is paved all the way to Hwy 137. 137 comes out about 10 miles north of Carlsbad so you are way ahead of the game.
