WOW! The RGV Weather Station really took a strange turn in subject matter!

Weather to the BBQ and pickles in desert to being impaled on agaves to Sonoran lechuguilla to poisonous compounds to TEQUILA!

But isn't that where all roads in this neck of the woods lead...Eventually?   :chug:

It looks like the BIBE web page has deleted the link to the realtime RGV weather. Too bad, wonder if it is permanent?

Maybe Mr. Leonard could enlighten the masses.

Looks like it's been relocated:

This weather station is temporary, and will eventually move to another location. It is likely to stay on location through the summer (fire season).

So, don't get too attached to it.

I just now noticed that TS645 is back in Big Bend, just off the Northeast Rim Trail.
LATITUDE: 29.2353

Two questions:

1. What are the dashed lines on the map? Can't be trails.

2. What's the deal with putting mechanical equipment in the pseudo-wilderness?  rolling

That's where Google Maps thinks the trails are.  I deliberately cropped the image so it wouldn't show both the Pinnacles Trail and Laguna Meadows trail as "Outer Mountain Loop", although that's somewhat correct.  Also, Google moved Boot Springs over to the Blue Creek/Laguna Meadow Trail junction.  Maybe that's why people haven't been finding any water there lately.  icon_smile

And on a sad note, TopoZone is dead.  Taken over by Trails.com on a fee subscription basis.  They'll give you a 14-day free trial, but apparently no more free topos.  I wonder how many links to maps I've posted on BBC using topozone.  eusa_think
