If you have Windows XP, snag their Image Resizer and shrink those files before uploading to David's server.  See my previous post on the subject:

Thanks again for the picture hosting site, David.  I've used it quite a bit for Big Bend pics.  For non-BB pics, I often use http://xs.to/ for pics I don't care about maintaining.
