Bobcat,

I am sorry the video doesn't work.  I think I saw that you will be in BB Mar 20.... I will be there Mar 23-26.  I can give it to you on a CD if I catch up with you in the park.  Let me know...

Curt

Appreciate that Curt. I'll leave a msg at PJ HQ for you.  Hopefully, I'll get your video up and running b4 I leave for BB. We'll probably meet, but if not, maybe just my handle on it and leave it with PJ. Thanks a lot  in advance, Curt.

I wasn't able to play the video.  I'm running XP home Ed and dailup.

If it said you were missing a codec, that means you'll have to download it from Microsoft or wherever.  On my work PC I just clicked on the link provided by the error message and after a few more clicks was able to download and install the codec, which is a sub-program used to decompress the file for playing.

Here is my answer to "What's The Big Deal?"

I put a "video" on my website.  This website is currently under construction for a business that I am starting up.  I am getting ready to re-do the whole thing and concentrate on Western and Southwestern stuff.  There are some pictures from Big Bend in there.  Anyway, go to:

www.marie-enmon.com

... and click on the "The Big Bend" button in the bottom left of the opening screen.  This took 4 minutes to load   and the "video" is 5 minutes long.  The transitions are rough and the picture quality is spotty, but this is the only way I know how to share this.

Curt...Your video was JUST BEAUTIFUL. The music PERFECT.  I loaded it up in Windows Media Player and it ran with no problem this AM.  Apparently, the codec downloaded on the previous attempt.  I recognised all the imaging in your production.  Great work!!!

Curt,

Oustanding!!  I don't think I will ever get tired of playing it.

I saw on your website that your prints were for sale to retail companies, presumably for resale by them.  Are there any retailers in the DFW area that are carrying them?  I would love to see them up close and personal.

No, these are not available in DFW yet.  I have just started this business, but  I have a real job that is extremely time consuming right now.  After I get back from BB, I pan to start selling.   There is one place in OKC that has them... Lorec Ranch.

I plan on finding some more stuff next week in BB that is Southwestern.

Thanks for asking.

I gotta remember to view this video more often.  Makes for a perfect "Serenity Now!" solution to work frustrations.

Post the reasons why you love this place so much! Why?  :?:  :?:

After many dozens of trips to Big Bend, the principal quality that has remained apparent from the very first time is its feeling of TIMELESSNESS.

No matter where you are, even if only turning your back to the road and looking out....it can be whatever century you want.

All the other adjectives also apply as well, but it is this one attribute which separates the area from all else.
