Some more relevant commentary from that source:

TPWD will be holding public meetings to discuss how best to control species such as feral hogs and aoudad sheep. It seems these species are thriving in the park and are threatening the habitat of others.

The meeting for Houston is slated for May 8, but the time and place is yet to be announced. Keep checking TPWD’s Web site if you are interested.

Hunting in Big Bend might be possible

Quote
For those of us who hold, and regularly use, the Annual Public Hunting permits issued by TPWD, the prospect of hunting in Big Bend National Park has been only a dream, until now.

I suspect that the correspondent who wrote the article doesn't know squat. He/She is probably confused, 'cause I doubt TPWD has any say in the NP, only the SP.

As a hunter, gun owner and law abiding citizen of the United States, I do not desire to hunt in any National Park, even when allowed I most likely would not, but I think the purpose of being allowed to carry in a National Park has nothing to do with hunting, and it appears we are once again on hunting and carrying for protection argument. I thought we had beat the dead horse already. pissed pissed pissed

PS: Bring the dead horse meat over and we can BBQ it.  rolling rolling

That quote also confused me, but then again, I'm also always confused and sometimes called clueless.   icon_wink

Do hunters really "dream" about hunting in BIBE?  eusa_eh

I don't know much about hunters dreaming hunting at BiBe, but everytime i see a javelina or a deer picture, I see this good piece of meat, smothered in BBQ Sauce, slowly cooking over a roasty fire with potatoes, onion rings and Cilantro....some olives black or green...adn secret ingredients.... eusa_drool.

 So what is this?...deja Vu...day dreaming....a bliss? eusa_eh

Undertaker: any tiem you want to cook up that horse, i will help out.
