Join the Friends for a special all-day outing to the Mariscal Mine . David Elkowitz, Chief of Interpretation and Visitor Service, will entertain us with the history and tall tales of this colorful and remote area. Far Flung Outdoor Center will provide vans and jeeps for the drive for $50, and lunch for $10. Far Flung is saving space for the first 24 registrants. Call Far Flung at 432-371-2633 to make your reservations. Only four wheel drive and high clearance vehicles should consider this trip, and members are encouraged to ride with the group in the vans and jeeps. All paricipants will meet and be prepared to leave from Panther Junction Visitor Center at 8:30 AM Saturday, February 16th, with return to the Center in late afternoon. Carpooling is encouraged, to reduce the amount of vehicles being taken to the site.
