One of the most important river crossings in Val Verde County – 1,300 feet long and spanning 270 feet above the Pecos River – will be narrowed to one lane beginning Monday (Aug. 18) as contractors begin major repairs to the historic bridge, 45 miles northwest of Del Rio.
