You are about 5 - 10 miles from the western entrance of the NP.  There are no fancy restaurants in Terlingua/Study Butte.

Try Kathy's Kosmic Kowgirl Kafe, the hot pink trailer right next to the motel for breakfast.
Los Paisanos and the Chili Pepper both have good Mexican food.
The Roadrunner Deli for picnics and sandwiches.
For dinner, you can try:
The Starlight Theater, 2 for 1 hamburgers on Monday nights.
  The Boathouse
   the Phat Cafe
I don't know if the cafe at the Big Bend Motor Inn is open again or not, it was closed last May for renovation.
There is a restuarant at Lajitas, which is about 20 miles west of the Easter Egg, I don't know how the food is tastewise or the price as it is now under new management.

Then in the park, you should try the restaurant in the Chisos Basin.  The views from the dining room are fantastic.

Enjoy & safe travels,

The Cookie Baker

Last July we ate at "The Ghost Town Cafe" in Terlingua, which at the time had not been open very long.  Hopefully it's still there as it was fantastic.

...Los Paisanos...

I'll second that nomination. I love that little place. Been there twice. If you need a hot-n-spicey Tex-Mex fix, then it'll do. The portions are just right. The place is physically small, with maybe only 6 or 7 tables inside. Be sure to yell "thank-you" to the cooks as you leave, they'll appreciate it.

The cafe at BigBend Motor Inn was open at New Years.
Pretty good food, nothing fancy, and decent prices. The food at Chili Peppers was reealy good, too. It is a very small place, though. Your bunch would likely fill it to the brim.

BB Motor Inn Cafe was open in late Oct when we were there. New cook and some great new waitpeople-we ate there two times and had a good experience both times. As we drove to Lajitas, we noticed several new buildings going up with restaurant names on them. Pretty soon there will be a McDonalds!
