My first attempt at Bibe was aborted with defective solenoids in the tranny. Had to return home after only 24 hours in the park. OK, I'm ready to go again. Here's the plan:
Leave 5:00 am Monday morning from Longview, TX. If I get to the park in time, I plan to camp at PC-1,2. If late arrival, I'll probably stay at Stillwells for the night.
Tuesday, Cattail Falls hike, then Grapevine Hills hike. Camp at GH2/3
Wednesday, Lost Mine Trail - spend most of the day around the basin.
Wednesday Night - I'm gonna bite the bullet and camp at RGV with the crowds. I want to be there at sunset and sunrise shots.
Thursday - Hike Boquillas Canyon and Ernst Tajina if road is ok- Hot Springs if I can't get to Ernst.
I plan to be on Ross Maxwell at sunset to get sunset shot of Casa Grande thru the Window. Then over to the Starlight for dinner and a cool one and try to retrieve my hat that I left there last month. Then drive to Alpine/Ft. Stockton
Friday - homeward bound.
On my last trip I did get to do the Windows Trail, St. Elena Canyon at sunrise, Tuff Canyon, Burro Mesa Pouroff, and all the stops on RM.
Then the tranny started acting up so I had to cut the trip short.
Not as adventuresom as most of you young guys, but an old retired f*rt has to start somewhere.

Trip report and pics will be posted upon return.
