I got word today that a truck part we were waiting for came in, but it will be 4-1 before it can be installed.  Looks like I roll for Bibe on 4-2. I will be posting daily to my blog, but when I can publish is a question since my aircard may have trouble getting out.  Any known reliable wifi that I can reach to publish?  I do not mind paying a reasonable fee to publish. Thanks

We had 'reliable' WIFI in front of the Basin store.  The girls were so happy that they could check their email.

I hiked a lot, about 41 miles or so, I got snowed on, scraped a bunch of times, got a few cactus needles stuck in my shins , bonked my head on a few tree branches, took a tree branch to the chest, I surfed casa grande.

I nearly froze to death in the cold blowing wind on the south rim the day after my boots nearly melted due to the heat out near glenn springs.

I saw some purty clouds and lots of bunny rabbits.

yes Im lazy, the wife and the pets are demanding way too much attention from me so I dont have time to gather a real trip report right now.....

Thanks for the trip report! I vote Jamesb for the most succinct yet pithy trip report yet!

Ditto! Except he left early and I hiked 10 more miles, visited a movie set, drove SH 170 to Presidio, hit Marfa and the Prada store, and then ended with a beautiful sunset. Bunch of ruins and mountain scenery in the mix as well. Had a glorious time and James is great to hike with ...

We went on a expedition to Big Bend for several days/nights over spring break. I didn't write about it here though because I am not allowed to. I am writing an article for a Toyota magazine and nothing is allowed out until it's published. If it doesn't make the cut, I can put it wherever I want   icon_biggrin

Award winning trip reports and 'maybe' a rejected story... Man, I'm spending too much time on my report.

So far sounds like a lot of LAME-O excuses to me.  Especially from Xseption since he had us all pumped up about his March trip to the bend.  It doesn't have to be something great like an OKiehiker novel or Badknee's report but I expected more from you guys (or at least something).   If you are old and stupid like me and don't like trying to figure out the image resizer you can always make a photo album on MarkB's BigBendPhoto's site and write the report here.  Now is your chance to contribute something substantial, don't let it slip bye..... Yeah like TWWG said...you don't need a journalism degree to write a trip report. Everyone's experience and perception is different and that diversity is what makes this chatboard great! Give it yo' best shot, guys/chicks! icon_cool
