At this rate the park map is going to look nothing like the topos.  All this renaming will be confusing at best and dangerous for some.

What topos?  There has always only been one topo.

I'm not sure about there being one topo.  I look at this park and see that it takes 9 quads to cover the whole thing.  Maybe its just me, but I'd call that 9 topos.  eusa_think

Butanyway...I was looking at the new park map AGAIN and saw the new trails down around and through Arroyo Primero, Fresno Canyon and Monilla Canyon.  It looks like one of the trails starts near Javalin and goes through some inholdings and on to the Contrabando Trail.  I think this will be part of my next hike the next time I'm there.  icon_biggrin

After I stayed at Yedra2 we stopped back in to Sauceda. I made a remark that I didn't really see the trail that was on the map. The ranger that was there (Bill) said some of the trails are more rock than trail right now  icon_wink
I also tried to hike up the Righthand Shutup but think I was a canyon further south....
Still fine with me to just be walking around...
