I'd rather be on the South Rim

For those of you who haven't been to the South Rim lately, or who dream about being on it right now, here is what it looked like early Sunday morning:

Very different from the mottled gray cubicle walls of my fluorescent palace. Sigh.

With a large format HP DesignJet printers (they are common in the 42" size but come in 44", 64" and 104" models) you can fix that decorator problem. (As an aside, I wonder what factor controlled the odd sizing of all these).

The 42" and 44" models range from $2,000 to around $18,000. The 64" and 104" must be a LOT more since HP doesn't sell them online or even give a price structure.

Actually, a 42" print would do nicely and probably wouldn't be all that much to have some place like Kinkos do one for you.

I love the lighting. Great capture! Last time I was there, the view was nothing but gray soup ...

Guys you were there this past weekend (April 17-20 2008) and some friends from Acuña 4x4 went to BiBe as well. They stayed in Rio Grand Village, but they went for Santa Elena Canyon (SEC) ...too bad your paths did not crossed each other. You all would have had a blast talking about me , behind my back.... eusa_shifty.

Still enjoy these pictures of a family outing there.

Homero.

P.S.- Al, this time they took only a small trailer with stuff, that is just because i did not tag along with them. icon_lol

Next time at least let Shane stand on the pile of rocks so he'll look taller!  evil

Damn I'm short...  rolling

You just think he's sitting down...  rolling

OK - I'll let Shane stand NEXT to a pile of rocks, and y'all can draw your own conclusions.

Great pics Shane, especially the one with your pinkie jammed into the Lord of the Wind's empty eye socket. Of course, all the photos of me looked fabulous.  eusa_clap The shot of me scaling the last pitch of Emory Peak sent a shiver down my sore back and spine.

I need a pic of me with my backpack on.   Some are suggesting that I hired a sherpa from Terlingua to pack it up for me...   eusa_whistle

Would make a great commercial for Mountain House - they should pay him for it.
