Man!!!!...I tell you: I need to get out of here, yesterday. What the hell did i write? eusa_snooty...tooooo overstressed. Willy Nilly

Hey Jeff..one quick question: On the last picture where you three fellas are at Emory Peak?....is Shane ready to puke? Vomit...you need to get out of his way or else he is going to turn that white Shirt...in to green!!!....MOVE!!!!.

Can it be done as a day hike?

A very long and grueling day hike involving carrying lots of aqua.  People do it all the time, but they don't get to experience the sunrise/sunset aspect of it and also see all the neat stuff.

It really is amazing what you see when you slow down.  I was hiking last weekend with my two year old.  He kept stopping and playing with dirt.  I was getting frustrated because I wanted to keep hiking.  However, one time when I stopped and stood still for a minute, I saw two flowers I had never seen before and only saw because I was standing there looking around.  The next time we stopped and stood for a minute, an armadillo started shuffling around in the bush next to us.  He had stopped when he heard us and started moving around again when we got quiet.  Each time we stopped I found something interesting that I would have otherwise blown past.

There is a bubble blowing CONSPIRACY going on here......I see the covert mission started last week when you guys took off unannounced and met with the ranger to "hike" yea right...I'm surprised Presidio hasn't already caught it and figured the whole thing out...or is he in on it too? icon_eek

Hey! Don't be writing me into this boondoggle. I'm just an innocent bystander to silliness and frivolity.

Got any sunrise pics from the rim, or were you guys too worn out from blowing bubbles?

Yes. The sunset was far more dramatic.

Thanks, LF. Here's another one from the Top of Big Bend, the summit of Emory Peak, looking down on Boot Canyon, the boot, Juniper Canyon, and Crown Mountain, which is probably the coolest looking peak in the Chisos.
