This is my first time posting a picture, so I hope I am doing this right. This is from my Dad's in East Texas (Athens). I think it's a Moon Flower.
This one I believe is an Angel Trumpet.

For the plant experts:
I noticed this vine in the yard today. I've never seen anything like it. As near as I can tell, it may be Corona de Cristo, which is native to northern S America. Am I even close?
Here's an overall look, then the flower (closed?) and the fruit.

Passion vine bloom taken yesterday...in San Antonio.
Bill
Since these look the same to me, I'm guessing that you identified the mystery vine from your earlier post as "Passion Vine" ??

Hi fartymarty!
Yeah, now that I've had a good look at the bloom, which only stays open a couple of hours after sun up, it's definitely a Passion Vine. It took me a year to find out...last fall my wife trimmed the bushes where this vine was growing and cut off most of the vine before I got enough blooms to open to identify it. Got enough rain and blooms this year to be sure.
Are you going to BB this fall? I'm going in a month and plan an overnight stay up on the S Rim to hopefully get some nice sunset and sunrise pics. Maybe there will be some cacti blooming since there has been a fair amount of rain out there lately.

Hi fartymarty!
....Are you going to BB this fall? Bill
I have the time scheduled off from work for late October, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it or not. A lot
of family health issues are arising. I have been following your plans for your trip, and like everybody else, I'm looking forward to
your trip report.
I'm glad to hear that I can stop looking to ID your vine

Here's a shot by my friend, Jimbob, an infrequent poster to this site, taken a few years ago. Beautiful shot!

Here's a few flower shots from my uncles' garden out in L.A.
Ok, so that last one's a buttoniere from their wedding, but it still counts as a flower, right?

Still working on some fall flower shots. But what the heck, here's one from Bee Caves on Hwy 71 taken today, there are much better shots to be had. Will try harder!

I don't remember seeing these guys before on Southwest Pkwy near Oak Hill, but they are pretty neat. They've started to decline in this shot but run along the median in some stretches.
