.

I was wondering if anyone here has ever seen (or IS) Jesus
walking around the Trans Pecos ??

Back in March 2005, I was driving from Fort Davis
to El Paso to pick up my wife at the airport, and
somewhere near Valentine I came upon a guy
in long robes and with a large staff (walking stick)
and as I passed him, he crossed the road behind me.

He seemed to be on a spiritual 'walk' and I was so
stunned, I forgot to take a photo.

I never got to see Judy Magers, but I did  see
'Valentine Jesus'

I do drink on occasion, but I was sober that day.

anybody else seen such a sight ??

Seen a man traversing I-10 with a large cross on wheels that he was toting along.

Only person that I can recall that fits the description was the only surviving adult from the movie Andromeda Strain filmed in Shafter.  Maybe it was an out of work actor that you saw?

Let me guess, when you turned around he was no longer there?

If it was up near Waco - We Ain't Coming Out - it might have been the reincarnation of David Korish.  We will now never know the secrets of the seven seals...

Or, if it was near El Dorado - might have been someone from that compound...

Might be the same man who totes the cross from Houston to Austin between Ash Wednesday and Easter.  We see him out there every year.

I have not seen the robed gentleman but have seen the cross and wheel between Austin and Houston and also on way to ranch in Uvalde and San Antonio and also between Uvalde and Del Rio on two occasions.

I've seen  him around Del Rio a couple of times. His cross has a wheel on it. Seems like I remember an article about him in the Del Rio paper a couple of years ago. I'll see if I can find it.
