Seminole Canyon Trail

Today I rode the trail on my bike and took some pictures for evidence I did it.  Since I post in several forums, please see my blog tonight after 9pm for the details.  If you have never taken the trail to the mouth of the canyon it is worth doing at least once.  It is about 6 miles round trip. The State Park is a handy distance from BiBe for an overnight stay with excellent restrooms. My blog is www.ofmadventures.b logspot.com .  The trail is in good shape and it can get very lonesome out there.  There was only one set of footprints on the trail today and they were very old. Thanks...will be looking forward to reading more about your trip.  We have a BIBE trip planned this summer and will be returning by way of Hwy 90 and will be stopping at Seminole Canyon.

Don't take it soserious  ,OFM...i was only joking. Anyhow, how is the Visitor's Center in Seminole Canyon?. I read over on their webpage that they have nice showers and hookups there?...care to enlighten?.

Who is serious???? As a retarded, I mean retired old fat man I take very little serious any more.
 Meanwhile,Seminole Canyon Park is a very nice place.  The rest rooms, showers etc have always been very clean when I have stayed there and I have been coming there for over 20 years.  The visitor center is one of the better ones I have been in.  The nature walk is very nice and was covered in my blog back in Feb.  I have yet to go on the Fate Bell shelter tour because I have seen a LOT of old indian stuff in my life, but eventually I will get to it.  The Panther Cave  trail you saw in last nights blog.  The campground is on two levels. The upper level catches wind like crazy and I stay on the lower level to stay out of some of the bad wind.  The sites are typical state park some with elec and some without. There is a dump station in the middle of the campground. Not right on top of each other but not spread out really far either.  Now the bad part is that inside the park is not a lot to interest children after a tour of the visitor center.  Bicycle riding inside the park is very good for kids.  Paved and unpaved areas are available.  If you take kids for a canyon hike, I would go to the Pressa over view and back. That would still be over three miles, but a lot less than the panther Cave over view.  The nature trail goes along a minor canyon/ravine.  The park is close to the Pecos River bridge and the NPS day use area, but again not a lot for youngsters. It is amazing how much fat a yellow riding jersy can hide. I am thirty pounds over weight and border line obese because I am not tall at all.  Two days ago I qualified to put in my application to start early social security.  62 in Agast I mean August.  If I am middle aged it is the very upper level age group.  Thank you for the compliments.
 For fun this evening I just did and hour and a half paddle in my SOT kayak on Amistad.  It was beautiful out there this afternoon. Every one try to have tooooo much fun.

Nice blog OFM.  I spent tooooooo much time reading it.  But ain't it great to be retarted.  I'm off to Fla to visit the grandchildren.  Can't wait to get back to Bibe again.  I think I'll do a reverse mortgage on my home so I can afford some gas.
